Your tutor for the day will be Colleen Conti; a successful landscape artist with 37 years experience in Art Education & leadership, extensive knowledge of Art History and skill in a wide range of materials, processes and techniques.
Session 1 - Work from direct observation of a lush still life. Explore expressive drawing techniques with charcoal and ink mark-making with different implements to find freedom and a language for interpretation of organic forms.
Session 2 - An introduction to Monoprint and Botanical printing. After producing a quick series of experimental prints there will be the opportunity to work on a sustained piece arising from the drawings made in the first session combined with Monoprint and further reference to the still-life.
