The artists exhibiting at Blue House Artspace are:
Karen Crompton I am an intuitive process abstract painter exploring personal and universal themes of the paradoxes of being in our world. Inspired by personal and world events my bold paintings emerge through the process of layering, building and obscuring symbols, text and line in limited palettes.
Sylvie Zimmer Her work explores figurative abstraction and is informed by fragments of the natural world. Themes centre around the passage of time, journeys and places. Recurring favourites are drawings in a layered approach. Works are on canvas, board and paper in mixed media and graphite.
Binu Chaudhary I create from memories, emotions and sensory experiences. I want to draw my audience into a visceral connection with my work. I was fortunate to have spent my childhood in a valley in the midst of the Himalayas and I often paint from what I remember from those days.
Lorelei Hopkins Lorelei is a contemporary abstract artist in Surrey. She works with mixed media creating seascape and landscape paintings. Her background is interior design and her work focuses on textures, colours, mark making and collage.
Julia Stockwell-Hamid Julia is a multidisciplinary artist working in silver as a jeweller, sculptor and fine artist – where she weaves silver into her paintings and uses her hallmark as her signature. Julia creates conceptual art pieces that connect us using the theme of water to show this connectivity.
Parul of the Sea I feel joy, awe and at times a sense of loss in my relationship to the living world. The recurrence in nature that creates pattern also creates calm and in my continuous exploration of this phenomenon I seek an affinity with nature. Through this work I am reassured, in waves of realisation, that we are nature.
Lina Alousta My work is all about creating bold, intuitive gestures inspired by the colours in my surroundings and the changing seasons of nature. I absorb these influences and translate them into paintings that express the emotions that stir my soul.
